Calendly or Cal.com Account

For automatic meeting booking

1

Create Your Agent

Set up your AI SDR's identity

  1. Go to Agents in the sidebar
  2. Click Create Agent
  3. Fill in the agent details:

Agent Display Name

Internal name (e.g., "Enterprise Sales Robot")

Agent Name

Name in emails (e.g., "Alex")

Company Name

Your company for signatures

Value Proposition

What you offer (used in emails)

Pro tip: Use a human-sounding name like "Alex" or "Jordan". Prospects respond better to personal names than "Sales Robot".
2

Connect Email Provider

Set up outbound and inbound email

Go to your agent's Email tab. Choose a provider below to see setup instructions:

Gmail

Recommended

Send from your own Gmail — no domain setup

Resend

Recommended

Modern API, great DX, easy setup

MailerSend

Good deliverability, generous free tier

SendGrid

Legacy, widely used

Gmail Setup

  1. Go to your agent's Email tab and select Gmail
  2. Click Connect Gmail Account
  3. Sign in with Google and grant email permissions
  4. Done — replies are detected automatically via Pub/Sub

No webhook setup needed. Gmail replies are detected automatically via Google Pub/Sub. Limits: 500 emails/day (Gmail) or 2,000/day (Google Workspace).

Gmail is the fastest option — connect with one click via OAuth. No domain verification or webhook configuration needed. Replies are detected automatically.
Required: For Resend, MailerSend, and SendGrid, configure the inbound webhook so your agent can receive replies. Gmail handles this automatically.
3

Connect Calendar

Enable automatic meeting booking via Calendly or Cal.com

Go to your agent's Calendar tab. Choose your preferred calendar provider:

Cal.com
Recommended
One-click OAuth setup with automatic webhook registration
  1. Select Cal.com as your calendar provider
  2. Click "Connect Cal.com" to sign in via OAuth
  3. Select your event type (e.g., "15 Min Discovery Call")
  4. Webhooks are registered automatically — you're done!
No API keys needed: The OAuth flow handles authentication, event type selection, and webhook setup automatically. Cal.com supports direct booking on all plans (including free).
Calendly
One-click OAuth setup — no API keys needed
  1. Select Calendly as your calendar provider
  2. Click "Connect Calendly" to sign in via OAuth
  3. Select your event type (e.g., "15 Min Discovery Call")
  4. Click Save — webhooks are registered automatically
Paid plan recommended: On free Calendly plans, the agent can fetch available times and share your booking link, but won't receive booking notifications or book directly on behalf of prospects. A paid Calendly plan (Standard+) is recommended for full functionality.
Both Cal.com and Calendly connect via one-click OAuth — no API keys or manual webhook setup needed. Cal.com (recommended) supports direct booking on all plans. Calendly paid plans (Standard+) get full functionality; free plans can fetch times and share a booking link.
4

Choose Sales Framework

Select your agent's communication style

In the Behavior tab, select a framework that matches your selling style:

LAER

Default

Listen → Acknowledge → Explore → Respond

Best for consultative sales and rapport building.

Sandler

Pain Funnel + Negative Reverse

Good for hard qualification, avoiding tire-kickers.

Challenger

Teach → Tailor → Take Control

Ideal for complex sales, differentiation.

SPIN

Situation → Problem → Implication → Need

Best for discovery-heavy enterprise deals.

Not sure? Start with LAER — it's versatile and works well for most B2B scenarios. You can change it anytime.
5

Train Your Agent on Scripts

Pro & Ultimate

Make your agent write like your best rep

In the Behavior tab, scroll to the Rep Script Training section. Paste your best rep's emails and click "Train on Script".

How It Works

Paste 3-5 of your best rep's winning emails (cold outreach, objection handling, follow-ups)
Click "Train on Script" — the AI analyzes the tone, vocabulary, and patterns
Click "Save Changes" to activate
Every outreach, follow-up, and objection response now mimics your rep's exact style

What to Paste

Cold outreach emails that got replies
Objection handling responses that converted
Follow-up emails that re-engaged prospects
Emails that represent your best rep's voice
3-5 emails is enough. Separate multiple emails with ---. The agent learns tone, sentence structure, CTAs, and personality traits. You can re-train anytime by pasting new scripts and clicking "Re-train Agent".
Availability: Agent Script Training is available on Pro and Ultimate plans only. Free-tier users will see this section locked in the Behavior tab.
6

Configure Follow-up Sequences

Automatic follow-ups for non-responsive leads

In your agent's Outreach tab, configure the follow-up delay.

Follow-up Delay (Days)

Time to wait before sending a follow-up. Default: 3 days. Set to 0 to disable.

How It Works

Agent sends initial outreach email
If no response, up to 4 follow-ups are sent at your configured interval
The 4th email is a graceful "break-up" message
Lead is marked unresponsive after all follow-ups complete
Two follow-up types: Different templates for leads who never responded vs. those who engaged then went silent. When prospects reply, the agent uses your selected sales framework.
7

Import Your Leads

Add prospects to your pipeline

  1. Go to Leads in the sidebar
  2. Click Import Leads
  3. Upload a CSV file with your prospects

CSV Format

Required columns
email,first_name,last_name,company,title

Required: email

Recommended: first_name, company

Optional: last_name, title, phone, linkedin_url

Example CSV

email,first_name,last_name,company,title
john@acme.com,John,Smith,Acme Corp,VP Sales
sarah@techco.io,Sarah,Johnson,TechCo,Head of Growth
mike@startup.com,Mike,Williams,Startup Inc,CEO
Quality matters: Only import verified, opted-in emails. Poor lists hurt deliverability and can get your domain flagged.
8

Launch Your Campaign

Assign leads and start outreach

  1. Go to your agent's page
  2. Click the Leads button
  3. Click Assign Leads
  4. Select leads and check Trigger outreach on assign
  5. Click Assign
What Happens Next
Agent sends personalized outreach emails
Replies are classified automatically (interest, objection, etc.)
Interested prospects get booking links
Meetings are booked to your Calendly or Cal.com calendar
Monitor your campaigns in Conversations. You can pause AI handling or take over manually at any time.
